More professionals for branche because of cooperation Philips and SPOMM
Wednesday, 27 april, Hans Dijkman (Philips) and Edward Voncken (KMWE and chairman SPOMM) signed the agreement for the cooperation. This is the startsignal for connecting the Philips Employmentplan (WGP) and SPOMM (possibilities for a carreer in metalelectro and metal working)
The Philips WGP is a practicle formula of work connected to education and jobtraining for the reintegration of unemployed with a gap to the labour market. The goal of Philips WGP is to place these candidates after 2 year in the market. SPOMM yearly wants to take over a minimum of 10 candidates after one year for further education within their companies.
By this cooperation SPOMM-employers can hire unemployed which had a distance to the labour market. Because of the year of education and practice at Philips they can move to other companies, where the continue their education. The work in the MKB industrial sector is mostly too complex for most unemployed within the current training- and educationcapacity. By this cooperation the gab will be closed.
This cooperations offers added value for all parties. "Philips educates twice as many professionals which are needed by the regional industry, because after one year of Philips they are already available for interested organisations. Up to now it took 2 years and there was no direct relation to the suppliers in the Brainport Industry", according to Hans Dijkman, Director HRM Philips Netherlands. SPOMM chairman Edward Voncken: "The gab between unemployed and the requisted technical skills is often too big. With this approach we close the gap, we offer unemployed a carreer in the technique and we repress the lack of professionals in the branch.
